Long live the May two-four

Temperature in the mid twenties, sunshine after several days of rain has me yearning for the summer season. Bring on the mosquitos and the pina coladas. And while we're at it bring on the vacation.  I need to be oceanside stat.  Sigh.
The summer brings the promise of longer days and sun drenched stones warm  into the evening on my barefeet. Ciccadas chirping and murmured conversations drifting over fences and into the soft air.
Crisp wine in my glass, demure stars blinking and whispering into the night sky. Come hither long weekend, come to me and be my long lost friend. Give me the sanctuary of your extra day and the hope of things yet to be accomplished, the bold promise of productivity and the reassurance of your un-hurried leisure. Give me strength, that I might purge our house of toys and un-neccesary clutter. Give me vision and feng-shui to make our small space liveable. Give me speed that I might still shop, finish a school project and start a good book. Grant me the wisdom to know when to cease and desist, delegate tasks and put my feet up and have a glass of wine (or several).   Fairest Victoria, dearest May two-four tarry not for you are sorely needed.
